German-style Rauchbier
ABV 7.8% | SRM 35 | IBU 20 | OG 17.2 | FG 3.0
The beer was brewed in collaboration with Nickel Brewing, where we wanted to celebrate the wonderful smoked lagers of Bamberg, Germany. Most of the malt was sourced from Bamberg, with the majority being beechwood-smoked malt. We added just a touch of cherrywood-smoked malt to bring a hint of savory/sweetness.
It has an assertive spicy smoke aroma and flavor up front, but as you dig in, you'll be rewarded with notes of chocolate, toffee and raisins.
Pair this with any meal, especially a good steak or Al Pastor taco, and you'll fall in love.
